How to not feel icky when you send a sales email

You know I adore you, right? I believe in you. I know your business is here to make a big difference in the world.

That’s why I have to hold you accountable to something.

Your newsletter.

When is the last time you sent a newsletter to your subscribers?

They signed up for your newsletter and you told them you’d send them good stuff, but it’s been a while.

I know, we get caught up in holidays or just the day-to-day of living and creating and doing, and we forget to nurture our list.

Here’s what I don’t want to happen (cause I’ve seen it happen before): you create an amazing offer that you know is going to change lives.

You log in to your newsletter program and start to write that sales email and suddenly, you have a massive case of resistance because you haven’t emailed them forever and now you’re asking for the sale.

It feels icky, slimy, and not aligned. You feel guilty and maybe even a little greedy.

Let’s forgive that right now. What’s done is done and the important thing is to learn and grow.

I’m here to help you prevent this going forward.

Ok, so how do you avoid feeling icky about that sales email? You send a newsletter to your list consistently.

The key is consistency. That can be once a month or every two weeks. It doesn’t have to be weekly, just consistent.

I invite you to take 30 minutes right now and write a newsletter. Don’t apologize for not sending them. Think about a question you’ve been getting lately and answer it in a newsletter.

Love up your list a little with some valuable content.

Then, you can take my free course to build an editorial calendar so that you keep sending consistent content. In just 30 minutes, you’ll have enough content for 6 months to a year of newsletters!

And you’ll get a simple editorial calendar printout so you can plan that content and stick to it.

Your Action Items

  1. Write a newsletter and send it.

  2. Create your editorial calendar right here.

  3. Keep an eye on your inbox because very soon, I’m going to release a video series about how a welcome sequence can make this newsletter stuff suuuuuuuuper easy. (hint: this sequence is how my very small list has sustained my business for over 4 years)

Your clients are waiting to hear from you. Send that newsletter today and I'll see you soon.
