Words I don't hate

Online entrepreneurs love to talk about words they hate. I'm sure you've seen the posts in your business groups and then everyone piles on more words they're tired of seeing in people's marketing. It's fun and cool to talk about words we hate. But I'm not here for that. Here are some words I don't hate.

  • manifest - it feels too easy when it's thrown around, but people use it as shorthand to talk about the work that goes on behind the scenes to achieve the life you want
  • abundance - it feels vague and meaningless but that's because it means something different for everyone
  • girl boss / lady boss - some people find it demeaning and sexist but I think the word "girl" feels light and fun and playful
  • lead / subscriber - feels cold and heartless but it's just shorthand for "a valuable human being with needs and desires who signs up for our email list"
  • bootcamp - overused but it's an important word for some people's business
  • swear words - some people think they're dirty or masculine but others find them powerful

Of course, there are words I don't love but I'm not going to tell you because they might be important for your business. I don't want to make you feel self-conscious or cliche. I want you to feel strong and powerful and confident in your business. What would you like to un-hate?
