How I stay organized
A lot of coaches ask me how I stay organized. I'm not the most organized person, but I love finding the most efficient way to run my business.I keep most of my work on Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Calendar. But for my in-person clients, I use a binder. Let me walk you through it.
- Section 1: A blank page for session notes, handouts, revisit form, etc. >> Everything I will need for that day's session.
- Section 2: Session outlines provided by IIN. I'm not really using them, but I keep them around as a guideline.
- Section 3: A spreadsheet with client names down the side and Sessions 1-12 across the top. I write the client's name and then I write the date of each session. It's a helpful overview and reminder of which session they're on.
- Section 4: Client information. I start with the Client Progress form because it gives a quick overview of that client's goals and history, and then after each session, I can take a minute to fill it out. Then, I keep their goals sheet and all of my session notes, circle of life, and revisit form in order. When the client finishes the program, I put their notes in my filing cabinet.
- Section 5: Extra printouts that I haven't used yet.
I've made a video to show you how I organize my binder. Check it out and let me know what you think.[kad_youtube url="http://youtu.be/c7f2TE35Bj4" maxwidth=600 ] This is just for in-person clients, but I prefer to work by phone so I can reach more people. So, I keep a lot of information in Google Drive. I also keep the list of handouts in a Google Spreadsheet, which I use to plan the client's program. On Aug. 20, at 1pm, I'm giving a class about how to stay organized using Google Drive (Docs), Gmail, and the Google Calendar.
