Spring has almost sprung!
You’ll know by the garage sale signs in your neighborhood or the sudden itch you may have to completely overhaul your closet.
Hey, the birds sing, the woodland creatures start to frolick, and us entrepreneurial humans start to get new projects off the ground and plan for “Q2”.
As the seasons change, our energy is changing: we’re coming out of winter hibernation, feeling more charged to get out there and start things anew.
I know a lot of people think that January 1st is the “new year” but, for me, spring is the time where I start to wake up, look around, and move out all the things in my life that are no longer serving me — to bring in the things that are even better.
And the same goes for my business. The “life-changing magic of tidying up,” decluttering and performing a little feng-shui for your space is not just for your physical home: it’s also necessary for your online home — your website, your social media, your client intake, invoicing and lead generation systems.
Like your closet needing new pastels or your basement not needing five thigh masters (guilty), your online presence is longing for a little overhaul.
Think of this process like cleaning the soil bed and overturning it, so you can start to plant new seeds — seeds that will not only bring you more revenue and more clients but the right kind of clients.
This week, I encourage you to head to your website and ask yourself, “WWMKD — What would Marie Kondo do?”
Where are there places you can tidy up your online act? What are the pieces you need to change, re-think or even add that are more aligned to how your business has evolved and where you hope to take it this new season?
Spring cleaning my website was not “life-changing” — at least, not in the short run — for me but I know it’s going to make a difference in the long run.
And you don’t have to do it alone. Sometimes, we’ve accumulated so much…stuff, it’s hard to know where to begin.
So I’m giving you a handy checklist so you can get primped and fresh for a new season of business success!
