The Confident Webinar Host
I hosted my first webinar in 2013. It was about creating a Facebook Page for business. I didn’t have a million followers on my Page, but I did know that I could help people set up their page.
I could take the mystery and confusion away and help people launch their business.
That’s all it took!
I was nervous, but that didn’t matter. It didn’t matter that I had never hosted a webinar before. It didn’t matter that I didn’t have a big following on a Facebook Page.
What mattered was that they needed help, and I knew I could teach them.
You don’t have to be perfect to make a difference in the world. (Thank goodness!) If you have something to teach, and people want to learn it, you can host a webinar.
We know that hosting a webinar is good for business, but it’s terrifying!
Especially for introverts.
Especially if you’ve never done it before.
And the tech stuff? Forget about it. Totally overwhelming!
But it doesn’t have to be that way. I actually love hosting webinars. It takes a little practice, and a little trial-and-error, but after you host your first webinar, you might be surprised to find that you love them too.
So I hosted a webinar. They loved it!
(and so did I)
Now I want to take the pain, frustration, and fear out of webinars for you. I believe the best way to do that is for you to host a “friendly” webinar. You just have to get the first one out of the way and the rest will be easy (and maybe even fun!).
So I’ve created a special experience for coaches and entrepreneurs who want to host a webinar, but are a little nervous (or a lot nervous). It’s a course and a challenge in one!
I’ll teach you exactly how to do all the techie things, and then I will lovingly challenge you to do them in the safe space of our group.
You’ll get to host a mini-webinar from start to finish so you’ve got that under your belt. Once you’ve hosted your first webinar, you’ll feel like a pro!
Wouldn’t it be nice to see all the things you need to do to confidently host your first webinar, and to see it click by click so you know exactly what to do?
That’s what we’re going to do here!
I’ll show you how to
- set up a webinar registration page to entice people to sign up for your event
- create a bonus incentive to seal the deal
- write and schedule reminder emails, so people actually show up!
- design a beautiful, branded slide deck that is simple, so you can use it over and over again and make your job easier
- host a mini webinar, so you can get some practice at this (not so scary) webinar thing
- create Facebook ads to promote your webinar and grow your email list with ease
This is all the techie stuff you need to do to make webinars happen.
Now I know all that seems overwhelming when you’re doing it on your own, but when you have the help of someone who has done it over and over again (me), gone through the ups and downs and technical glitches (me again), and someone who can support you around marketing language and strategy (you guessed it, me!), it happens elegantly with ease.
Your clients will think you’ve been doing this for years!
Your clients are waiting to hear from you. They’re ready!
How it works:
The Confident Webinar Host is more than a course. I’ve created a unique 3-pronged approach:
You will not only learn how to do the tech stuff, but you’ll also learn about the marketing strategies the pros use to get people to sign up for the webinar, and you’ll get support and feedback from me and others in the course.
Think of the “support” piece as a mini challenge. When the course is done, I will challenge you to host a 10-minute webinar! I’ll join your webinar and give you feedback. You can watch other people’s, and they can watch yours.
Why I created this
After hearing from so many coaches and entrepreneurs that they’re terrified of hosting webinars, I knew I had to create a course that would de-mystify them and even make them fun.
So I created something that combines the technology piece that I love to teach AND marketing, which I’m passionate about, AND support, so that you can actually host your first webinar in a safe space without worrying about messing up or people thinking you don’t know what you’re doing.
The Confident Webinar Host was born. This program combines everything you need to feel more confident around hosting webinars, and the challenge makes sure you do it. (It’s like a little accountability nudge.)
What You’ll Learn
Module 1: Registration Pages
<marketing> We’ll create the registration page. We’ll talk about language that converts and how to get people to sign up for your webinar.
<tech> And we’ll create a registration page in WordPress.
<support> You will receive constructive feedback on your registration page. Does it appeal to people? What makes us want to sign up? What might make someone hesitate?
Module 2: Follow-up Emails
<marketing> Yes, follow-up emails are important! This is how you get people to show up for your webinar. I’ll give you my follow-up email template, that reinforces people’s interest in the webinar… gets them to show up! This is a swipe file that you can customize for yourself.
<tech> I’ll show you how to create and schedule follow-up emails in MailChimp.
<support> Accountability to actually write and schedule those emails! This is the hardest part for me, so I’ll make sure you stick to it.
Module 3: Bonus Incentives
<marketing> Bonus incentives will seal the deal for some people who are on the fence about sitting through yet another webinar. Help them take the leap with an awesome incentive.
<tech> I’ll show you how to create a simple ebook in Canva, and give you access to my course about Opt-in Gifts.
<support> I will personally brainstorm with you about which bonus incentives you could offer for your webinar. (This is my zone of genius.) Get support from the group, too!
Module 4: Content Outline and Slides
<marketing> Slides? Yes! If you’re nervous about being featured on camera, slides are the way to go. They help your attendees follow along. But there is a right and wrong way to make slides. I’ll show you the right way!
<tech> Get my click-by-click tutorial on how to create slides in Google Slides (just like Powerpoint!). You’ll see how to make a custom template you can duplicate for all your webinars!
<support> Share your slide template to get feedback on colors, fonts, and anything you have questions about.
Module 5: Host Your First (mini) Webinar
<marketing> Create a mini-webinar and get us to sign up for it! I’ll register on your registration page, receive your email reminders, and then watch the webinar! I will show you exactly what to include in this 10-minute webinar.
<tech> After you create all of these pieces for this mini webinar, you simply replicate them for your “real” webinar.
<support> Doesn’t it feel good to have your first webinar done? Your next webinar will be so confident and professional!

This is for you if
- You have a WordPress website with a theme installed
- You want to take charge and get your sales pages online so you can start getting clients
- You are tired of wrestling with WordPress and want things to be easy
This is not for you if
- You don’t have a WordPress website
- You just want to pay someone to build web pages for you
How many webinars do I have to watch?
As many or as few as you want. I invite you to watch at least one other person’s webinar. They will be just 10 minutes, and you’ll probably learn some tricks from each other!
Do I have to share my slides or my webinar?
I suppose you don’t have to, but if you want feedback, that’s what we’re here for.
How long will it take?
Each module is a little different, but none should take more than an hour. And the good news is, after you do it once, you can simply copy or replicate what you’ve already done. You will save so much time when you’re ready to host a “real” webinar.
When you’re planning a webinar, you don’t want to deal with all the tech stuff. You just want to plan your webinar, right? In this course, you’ll get all the tech stuff done so you can repeat it next time, which means you get to focus on creating the content for your webinar.
- Registration page > update the details and you’re done
- Reminder emails > update some details and you’re done
- Slide deck > template is done. Plug in the content and you’re done
What if I don't take the course?
I would still love for you to host your own webinars! They are such a great way to build your business, and they’re fun.
If you don’t take the course, it just might take you a little more time to put everything together yourself, that’s all. In the course, I’ll show you how to do everything yourself so you don’t have to waste time figuring it out.
What if I don't have a website?
It might be a little tricky, but we can make it work! You can have people register directly on the email signup form and then they join the webinar. If you’re making an offer, you simply follow up with a link to your calendar payment processor.
Can you do it for me?
We can definitely talk about that! I’ve just opened up to project-based and VA clients, but I would love to teach you how to do this yourself so you can be empowered to run your business yourself.
As Your Computer Girl, I can also build everything you need while we’re on the phone together so you can see how to do it AND get it done at the same time. All you need is an idea and some photos. Let’s chat!
Host Your First Webinar with Confidence
When you join this course, I will teach you click-by-click do all the techie things you need so you can have a successful webinar!
We begin Monday, August 1.
Registration closes Friday, July 29.
I have a Computer Girl! (cheers!) All I would say every morning is ‘Please let me find somebody that can help me where I’m stuck because I want to work. I just want to talk to people about their health and their goals. I was just praying for somebody to come and say ‘I can help you with this’ and here you are!
Terra patiently taught me how to organize my newsletter ideas, post a blog, upload a youtube video for my blog. It was so fun! Honestly, these are the things that kept me stuck and now I feel so empowered and in control. I am so glad I hired her and I plan on reaching out again once I have these techniques mastered. She is a great computer girl!

Don’t waste another minute trying to figure things out by yourself for your launch. You will waste countless hours trying to figure things out, while Terra can discuss it and teach it to you in simple, easy to understand steps. My first detox launch was an absolute nightmare. I struggled so hard to teach myself MailChimp, Picmonkey, and other tools, that Terra could have shown me quickly and easily. If you choose the 1:1 webinar, she helps you set things up and records the session, so you can go back and watch it the next time when you need to do it yourself! So you get work done and learn in the process. Every penny you spend with her is worth it! I promise, you will not be disappointed.
